Arizona Senator John McCain has spent the last few months betraying the Republican Party and his constituents by constantly attacking President Donald Trump. This past week, McCain spoke out to launch yet another attack on Trump, but this one didn’t end well for him.
The Hill reported that in a new interview, McCain ripped into Trump, saying that he doesn’t think the president has “principles and beliefs.”
“I don’t agree with the way he’s conducting his presidency, obviously,” McCain told Esquire. “He’s an individual that unfortunately is not anchored by a set of principles. I think he’s a person who takes advantage of situations.”
He went on to say that Trump was “successful” as a builder and an entrepreneur.
“But I don’t think he has the fundamental underpinnings of principles and beliefs,” McCain said. “I don’t think there was any doubt about his views toward me. But I’m a loyal Republican.”
Twitter users, however, fired back at McCain by letting him know that they have had enough of seeing him bash our president.
John McCain is the actual opportunist. He is more than happy to vote against Trump’s agenda, all out of spite and to curry favor with the Never Trump crowd.
He lied about wanting to repeal Obamacare and has repeatedly stabbed conservatives in the back.

This comes a month after McCain slammed Trump and the “half-baked, spurious nationalism” in the United States. Trump fired back by saying, “At some point, I fight back and it won’t be pretty.”
“I’ve faced far greater challenges than this,” McCain said in response.
